Default lean at partial throttle w/engine management....ecu programers please help!

I am running a turbo charged setup with 450cc injectors and a zdyne engine management. the tune that i have made is great for boost, it runs a little richer than stoich, my guess is around 12 to 1 or so. my problem comes when my throttle is below the 15% that i set for the computer to run in closed loop.

should i run my ecu in open loop at all times? could this cause any damage? is there any other way to run a closed loop program that wouldn't lean out?

thanks guys!

i just fixed my vacuum leak so that shouldn't be effecting anything. I'm just going to set my car to run in open loop starting at 0% throttle unless someone tells me its bad. thanks.......i know there are smart people on this forum, this one just might take a little more action upstairs

you're guessing you're at 12:1 a/f, but you're not sure. are you getting this number from looking at a narrow band a/f guage? They're really not something to tune your engine with; it can only tell if you're rich or lean relative to stoich. i'd say get your car on a dyno + wideband a/f with a good tuner.
