ok heres the story ive been battling this leaky oil pan for a few months now. I first had a Moroso pan with a kickout on it that seemed to leak from everywhere. i changed the gasket out to a felpro it still leaked so then i used silicone on both sides of the gasket and still it leaked. Finally i went with a OEM gasket and yes it leaked so i said expletive and ditched the Moroso pan.So i found my stock oil pan that had the return line welded on and put that on. Well everything seemed fine at first, but now its starting to leak again. I started the car and visually watched it drip from what looked to be the pan rail around the oil pump area. Anyone have any ideas i have a 2 breather on the valve cover and 2 coming out the back of the block. The setup has 800 miles on it and its really starting to **** me off. Anyone? all the seals are new as well. Thanks

yeah I had a similar problem a while back except leaking from the other side of the motor.

It was the rear main seal. Your front main seal may be bad and needs to be replaced. Make sure you are installing your gasket per the manual and using a little honda bond.

i seemed to have "HAD" the same problem but on a gsr block . it wasnt leaking steady but it would leave smalls spots sitting in the garage, i solved it all by eliminating the gasket and putting a good bead of silicone and spreading it out evenly around the pans surface. then tighten the pan nice and snug!! its a bit of a pain when dropping the pan in the future cuz of the clean up, but i noiticed that if i leave the silicone on the studs the pan will have a better fit in the future.... i also noticed that i dint always have to keep on tightening the oil pan bolts anymore trying to stop that dam leak! it may just work for you2

Are you tightening the bolts in the proper sequence, seen them leak from not doing so. Other then that you might pull your timing cover to check for leaks behind it could be coming from higher up then you think. But it's hard to say seeing as how you showed a picture of the top of your engine.

what he said, I had leaking problems also, but proper torque sequence and specc's works

make sure its not coming from the crank seal or the oil pump seal, i had both leak on me and it was driving me nuts cuz i was fixing them 1 at a time

im trying to count those out because they are new but you never know. i hope its not. All i know is this sucks the underside of my car is an oil slick

changed the rear main seal. and the oil pump crank seal and new oem pan gasket. no leaks except for one small on but there is either a crack in the webbing of the block or the rear main cover has a small hole or something. Then i finished it all up to find out my turbo is shot. 800 miles and it was toast.
