Abes Oil Pan Question...
I went to get my oil changed. (didn't have jack) The guy told me that my oil pan was " leaking like a son of a bitch" he also said it was starting to "cake" What the **** does he mean by cake? How much would a new oil pan run me? Thanks in advance

The oil pan itself was leaking? Meaning theres a hole in it? Doesnt make sense.
The gasket could be bad, in which case you would need a new gasket. I dont see how a pan just decides to leak...its metal, you know? Either leaking through the drain bolt, in which case you probably need a new washer, or leaking from the gasket, in which case you drain the oil, take off the pan with a bunch of small bolts around the edge, replace the gasket and put it back on.

Leaking really nasty. I'm guessing the gasket needs to be replaced. The oil pan is dented...pretty bad...How much would a new oil pan cost me?

Okay, so I'm not deep in the hole...I'm guessin on the stuff I'd need to replace...
New Oil ( cause you have to drain it to replace right?)
Oil Pan
Pan Gasket
Is that it?

It sounds like your oil pan gasket is leaking to me and from over time of leaking its caking around the gasket and block where they meet
