Default leakdown/compression check. help me make sense of these findings please

my car has been getting coolant in the oil recently. a regular compression test yeilds results of 180 psi and consistant for my 9:1 motor. well i pressurized each cyl to 100 psi at bdc, and it will go to 0 psi in much less than 1 min. it sounds like the air is coming out of the oil drain passages from the head to the block, as well as the black vent. canister in the rear. now that sounds like its bypassing the rings, but that wouldnt explain how im getting coolant in the oil. what does that leave? headgasket?

if its the headgasket id be very happy. its a 50 dollar and 2 or 3 hour fix. im hoping its nothing more serious. car drives fine, runs smoother than ever, just gets the coffee looking oil. ugh

i know. this motor has 2500 miles, and is fully built so i hope its just the hg.

additional info, it will smoke the first min or 2 i drive it, then it goes away and will only let out a lil smoke under boost. car made 261/201 on 7 psi before i knew it had this problem, so power level is right where it should be

usually when you have oil mixing with coolant it is most likely your headgasket. time to start rippin' her apart!!

Is it a sleeved block? My sleeved block leaked in the beginning. The sleeves were not sealing correctly by the sleeve foot. Bares leak fixed it..

yes! aebs sleeves. this was one of my other possibilities, but one i was hoping was not the case. after assembly, i heard from someone that you need to torque the head on the block a handful of times to finish pressing the cyls in, but my engine sleever never told me that. anyhow i went to retq the studs and they were at the right tq, so i couldnt.

what is bares leak???

Might want to make sure you use a new set of head bolts of good quality, like ARP, since you may not know how many times the others have been used.

you could try to drop the oilpan and pressurise the cooling system with an air compresor or something and se if it leaks from the sleeves foot..

im using arp's. got them from a friend. they have been used 4 times and use the arp moly lube for torque spec precision as well.

yea, im thinking about doing this as well, probably do it on fri after my weekly oil change. if lets say thats where the coolant is getting in, how do you fix that? do i have to have the sleeves re-pressed???
