Default Kit or build my own

hey whats up i just bought a 97 ek with a b18c. I'm lookin to boost it but cant decide if it will be better to buy a kit or to piece one together. It is my first time boosting so i'm still learning. I want atleast 250 - 300 to the ground. I'm lookin to find the better buy so to say. thanks

First off, read as many of those posts in the FAQ as you can. They are a very good help.

Then piece together a kit.

build it yourself...i built my first kit this past winter and the numbers are in the sig

not only will you learn more about it, you'll have a lot more fun and save money in the process

Piece together your first kit. Get a small t3 to start, but make sure the flange styles are the same are other turbos so you can always upgrade later if needed.. And make sure to TUNE it. lol

im a big fan of piecing together, as ive done it with my last 2 turbo setups. however, the kits coming out now come with such badass parts it winds up being all the parts you woulda pieced together. almost might be easier to just get a kit at this point.....

id get a new turbo so there will be no problems with that and just search around the h-t classifieds for used parts and the vendors for other items. remember to search around so u dont get shafted on the prices, sometimes it better to buy new items since the price will be a few bucks different
