Killed a 30r ..Why ?
So I just killed my 30r and I am wondering if this would of done it . I picked uip one of those cheap catchcans on ebay for the hell of it . I hooked up one line going to the black box on the motor . Then another going to the valve cover . With my new turbo on it started automatically pushing oil through the turbo compressor as well as in the exhaust . Smoke was everywhere. When I unhooked the black box line everything stoped and went away . Could this of blown my other turbo from running it like that all summer. I didnt have an issue with smoke like I am but I wonder if too much pressure built up in the can. There is no breather for the can to vent as well . I am retarded and it was probably something stupid.
Also the can did not overfill .. has only drained about 1/4 since june iunto the can .

I think your oil seal going has nothing to do with the breather setup. on a side note i think u would of been better off removing the black box and using the blocked off breather ports in the back of the block.

IDK why your turbo took a ****, but I will tell you that your ringlands are gona take a **** with your sealed catch can. You would be better off unhooking the catch can and just running the line form the back of the black box to free air. Same thing with the port on your valve cover.
