Default Keeping Underhood temperatures down?

I know the basics of heat wrap and stuff. But what do you wrap? When I pop my hood is like a heat wave of death coming out.

I've heard do not wrap the downpipe, I don't understand why not, especially on a street vehicle.

Vented hoods, if I could find one that wasnt ugly, would it actually make that big of a difference.

Ceramic coating the turbo. How much does that help?

Yeah, i live in AZ and it gets damn hot. I heat wrapped my manifold and use a heat shield that fortunatley came with my greddy kit. You can have one made at a local welder, I'm sure it wouldn't be much. (Make sure you get the heat wrap stuff wet when applying
