just turboed, now MAP sensor code?
Before I go on I did search and I read the FAQ, but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. OK heres what I got, Its a 91 CRX Si with the stock d16a6 and ECU, I don't kbow what size the turbo is, but its no bigger then a stock DSM t25. I'm running stock injectors with an FMU. Its making 5-6 PSI right now and when I get on it, it throws the MAP sensor code. I've read alittle about the GM 3 bar and the motorola 2.5. Can I use either of these with the stock ECU? I saw one topic where the guy used his stock map sensor as the "plug" for the harness, but wired the GM 3 bar up to that. here it is

I do plan on going with an ECU upgrade, but still not sure which one I'd like, any suggestions?

To use your current fuel- setup, you would need to install a check valve in between the map sensor and the throttle body. This will prevent the map sensor from "seeing" boost and thus throwing a CEL. you don't need another MAP sensor.
Personally I would ditch the FMU and get your ecu chipped and have it tuned. With that the stock MAP sensor can read up to 11psi ish.

I forgot to mention that I have 6 check valves in line to the MAP and still throws a code. I do want an upgraded ECU, but right now I just want the car driveable.

don't the check valves work the same way? I thought the check valves were a cheaper way of going about doing it?

They are the same as getting that, but i guess its just for a cleaner look. Also recheck ur valves to the map sensor and see if that fixes the CEL

yeah. I was kind of confused with them. 3 of them had arrows, so I assumed they were the direction of flow. so the arrows point out to the atmospere. then the other 3 don't have arrows, but the package sort of explained it. I'll try a missing link, unless I find an ECU upgrade in my price range.

I started with 3 and it didn't help at all, the car would still shut down if I got on it. I've got the 6 now and it helps alittle. the car still runs fine, but I'm sure it would be better with the map sensor fixed. can I use a 3 bar map sensor with my stock ECU?
