MAP sensor :/
So I had my MAP sensor go bad on me last week, seemed a little sluggish, vtec powerband was absent and it threw a code. Got home pulled the cover off to expose the ECU, and it threw a code 3 or MAP sensor code. Got under the hood and removed the sensor and where there should be a gasket the previous owner siliconed it to the TB.. (Woo, now either I get to use a dremol on it or have it machined..) Can't believe it.. Anyway, since the previous owner didn't even bother getting a gasket for the sensor, I'm starting to wonder if he even used the right map sensor (I've found a few other things that were "jimmy-rigged" and am not too happy about)...
Anyway, my question is which map sensor do I NEED, ill have to look at the code of the one that's on it right now, ran fine with no problems before, no codes, crossover was good etc, but I wanna make sure I'm using the RIGHT MAP sensor.
Not really sure what info is needed to figure out which map sensor is needed but I am running an LS-Vtec setup, B18B bottom end with a Type R head, if I need to provide more info please let me know!
Any and all info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks H-T!

Also, why not just use a razorblade to scrape that silicon off, I really don't see the reason why you would need it machined.
Well the idiot seemed to have siliconed it, and then pushed it down with the (male end going into the female... best way I can describe that little hose thing..)
There was silicon in the TB from where it had been put in
But thankfully, we got it taken care of today
Bought a sensor off a GSR, got the TB machined, installed and she back on the road
Thanks again H-T!
