Default just put turbo on and have no idea whats wrong

set up
b16a2
garrett t3/t04
p28 chipped for hondata map burn for 1 bar
450dsm injectors
tial wastegate
hks bov

problem
when we put the kit on and started up the car the car would start but was running really lean and would cut off after stayin on for about 20 sec. If i would give it gas the rpm won't even move it will jus stay idle and then cut off. after unplugging the map sensor the car would idel fine but would be running really rich and is drivable but only up to 2k rpm. i know i have to get it tune in order for it to run right but does anyone know why it won't stay on and running so lean when the map sensor is plug in, and also why i can only go up to 2k rpm when the map sensor is unplug?

I would say wrong baseline. You said you burned it for 1 bar? Isn't that for N/A applications?

hondata will not idle DSM injectors properly. i tried 680's with a resistor box and i had the same issues. i now have RC 650's and have no idle issues.

from hondata's forums.

"DSM 450cc injectors will not work with the Honda ECU - the electrical characteristics of the injector are not suited to the ECU, resistor box or no resistor box.

If you use DSM 450cc injectors you will find the engine difficult to start, and the engine running lean at part thottle, plus tuning is very difficult."

sounds like it's just too lean. add fuel in low vac and low rpm to get started.

how can you assume its too lean without a wideband? how do you know its not too rich?

Again DSM injectors wont work with Hondata correctly.

thanks for all the feedback everyone. imma try to get some rc 550 and see if that will make a difference and also went and got a resisstor box off a 94 accord. i did use resistors for the dsm but they were those cheap radio shack that are like 10 oms i think.

everyone else is probably right, but this came to mind

are you sure you plugged the map sensor and tps in the right spots.... these are swapped alot... it causeing the car to run like poop

try swapping them, cause they are the same looking connector.... see what happens

sounds like your basemap is really rich or lean. get a better basemap or hook it up to a wideband to see if thats the problem.

i still think it is the dsm injectors.
hondata says they will not work without a lot of effort and a basemap will not idle dsm's properly. period. i have been down this road, failed, and the 650's rc's i have now, idle flawlessly, and do not stall the car out. the 680's from extreme psi i had, would not idle the car w/o 70 psi rail pressure, stalled the car constantly, and was so damn lean at idle the car wouldnt hold an idle. i agree that after a base map the car needs tuning, but if he is running dsm injectors, he will be chasing his tail. so far hondata's basemapwizzard, has been right on to get a car to idle. we havent had any issues with the map wizzard. i am not saying it is perfect, but the cars we have tuned had atleast idled with no issues except mine with the dsm injectors.

With the only information u gave us, I would assume u are NOT running a 3 bar map sensor. You have a hondata that is set to 1 bar. Therefore, U need a GM 3 bar map sensor for everything to work correctly You can't run stock map sensor when your hondata is programed to read something different.

i think u can't just run the p28 without the hondata. You need both item in the car unless u have s100 where hondata is a chip in the ecu.

im not expecting full boost. i jus want to be able to get it to the place im tryin to get it tune at. im just wondering why the car won't go up pass 2k rpm and why it won't stay on or rev at all with the map sensor pluged in.

with which map sensor plugged in, the 3 bar? or the stock one?

did you try to plug in the stock one and see if it would run better, if the chip isnt burned how you think and the ecu is looking for a stock range map it will cause it to run baddd...

just an idea
