Default just installed moroso oil pan now smoke coming out of header where it meets head.

I just installed a moroso oil pan and I put in six quarts. I have a 2.0 liter gsr. with the greddy oil cooler. Do i still go off the lines of the dip stick? I heard that i cant rely on the stock dipstick with the moroso oil pan but I could be wrong? Could it be smoking because there is too much oil? What do you all think?

I overfilled my first Accord once and almost **** my pants. I thought I blew that ****** up. It smoked like a SOB. Drained a little out and had no future problems. As far as your case goes, is the pan supposed to accomidate 6 quarts? And did you pull the manifold at all?

well it says 5 quarts but i have an oil cooler and people sometimes add a quart more for that. plus ive heard of people putting over 6 quarts on some h22's i think. But ya its smoked pretty good.

p.s. Do i still use my stock dipstick as a consistant unit of measure?

Not sure about the dipstick but an H22 is different than a B18c. I would think that the H22 is capable of holding more oil than a B18c though. I would say drain a quart out and see what happens. I don't think that an oil cooler would take a whole quart but every setup is different. Good luck.

you need to remember too, that once you have filled the system, the oil cooler will be full from then on... because you never actually drain what is in the cooler and the lines...
So after the first fill up, you shouldnt add the additional "quart"....
