Default Just got it started ... is it ok to....

I just got my turbo honda started last night with all the bits in place, soon to be ready for a test drive. however i just wanna know if its ok to give the car a good rev whilst in neutral (when warmed up of course). will i see boost in neutral? and would i hear anything from the BOV?
the engine is a ZC honda running 5 PSI
thanks

No you won't see boost in neutral not enough load on the engine you may get some noise from the BOV if you hit the gas hard enough... Depending on BOV adjustment etc

if you punch it in neutral and really rev it at 100% throttle the BOV will go off

If you manage to do somthing (ie blow your motor) in neutral then you deserve a prize!! You'll be fine, but why not just go drive the thing already?

Default Re: Just got it started again... idle problem

well i just started it up for the second time, started first time
i left it to heat up so the temp gauge was at the half way mark then i gave it a good rev upto 6/7k. everything is good except then i felt it and it started to hesitate on idle and stalled. does anyone know the cause of this? too much fuel at low revs? not enough fuel?could it also be my idling valve?? EAVC?? I have heard stories about people replacing these or cleaning them up then replacing them.... it wont hurt to do this right.... my 1000rpm setting on my SAFC is -44 1600 reads -42
any help appreciated

Id say you need to richen it up a little. My 1000rpm setting is at -25 or so. Play around with the settings a bit because every car runs a little different.
