Default MSD 2-step installation

can you hook up an MSD 2-step without using the msd 6 ignition box. is there any way to wire it up with out the box. i need help. thanks alot

I think to use the two step you at the very least need a MSD soft touch rev control.

Taken from msd's website....

"The Module Selectors must be used with an MSD Soft Touch Rev Control or a Timing Controller with a high speed retard module. No rpm or retard modules are supplied."

Yeah, you'd need to use a MSD softtouch rev control or limiter of sorts. the Two step itself just kinda acts like a switch that changes the rev limiter between two different pills or rpms.
