Just did a compression test... i think its a lil high?
well i bought this built/sleeved h22 shortblock thats suppose to have 9:1 compression but i did a compression test today and it reads a little high
i disconnected the ecu fuse/took out all the plugs and wires and i did it about 2 mins after i was driving for about 10 mins. is it b/c i didnt take off the injector clips too is that why its reading kinda high?
cyl1= 210 cyl2=205 cyl3=215 cly4=210
i know its sleeved and has forged internals so, whats up? could it have 9.5:1?
HERE IS A PIC OF THE TESTER GUAGE:

how many miles are on the motor. you could just have a real nice seal.
i had 8.5.1 and had 210 across the board.
platinum.

yeah, the numbers arent even +/- more than 5

the motor has about 2,200 miles on it. still n/a for right now. im just waiting for all my parts to come in.

the #'s themselves will vary due to engine temperature, and atmopsheric presure and ****.
will disconnecting the ECU fuse keep fuel out of the cylinders? if not then fuel in the cyilnders will raise your #'s.

Re: (fafsa)
My compression is reading 210 across on my stock GSR motor! I think this may be due to the OPEN downpipe clogging it up while running rich for few months, DIRT RICH.
at 5500 feet elevation if that matters.
Been boosting over 6 months plus, and loving it.

so if he's running rich it will cause it to read higher #'s?

I agree. Compression of the pistons has nothing to do with doing compression tests. good numbers means you have a good seal, not that your pistons are a higher compression.

any truth to the running rich causing higher #'s?

if you are running soo rich that a mass amount of carbon deposits are left on the piston tops , then yes, i can kinda see it. But more than likely all the cylinders wont be equal if thats the case. Thats why its good to run some carbon cleaner type **** thru the motor to clean everything up and break up those deposits

i see, so i guess your good than fafsa, since there are only a little over 2000 miles on your build

i also dont think a motor with 2000 miles on it will have alot of carbon deposits unless there is some other issue
Also i just normlay diconnect my fuel pump fuse when doing the test.
