Default Jus changed manifolds and......

Okay, theres really no easy way for me to explain this so bare with me......

I just changed my manifold....I had the downpipe redone to fit the new mani.
and a new dump tube made
EDIT: Just installed NEW tial wastegate too....

Now, around 4k rpm's and above i have what "sounds" like a really loud Sputtering exhaust leak..BUT, there is NO leak...
when the car is sitting still and i rev it, its quiet with no leak noise (even past 4k rpm)

Im making full boost and holding it ....If i drive it at low rpm's it seems fine,

Also what i noticed is if i lightly hit the pedal it will make it further then 4k rpm's with out making the noise, but if i give it 1/2 or more throttle it makes the noise....
What could it be.????......
Its not just my wastegate noise cause everything was working fine
b4 i changed the manifold
Sorry if i make no sense but im confused...

if you changed the mani and downpipe, you need a retune

yeah its the only thing I can think of if its sputerring. Probably threw your a/f ratio off and you're either too rich or too lean

when you say sputtering due you mean like an exhaust leak or like the car runs different. If the car runs different consider the tune if it does not and the sputtering sounds like a raspy exhaust leak that you only hear when the car has load then answer the following:

Do you have a flex pipe?
Do you have motor mounts?
The leak that you speak of, if it does sound like an exhaust leak may be the downpipe separating from the cat or junction to the exhaust due to the tourque movement which would be easily fixed with a flex pipe or motormounts. If that is not what is wrong then sorry and Im am going to sleep. Good luck

I have flex pipe
I have stock integra mounts

Its not a leak from the exhaust... i just had it reedone from the turbo to the muffler

Could it be a problem with the wastegate.....Kinda sounds like the dumptube, but louder and its a sputtering "sound" the cars not actually sputtering

Its definetly not the wastegate, i was using the same wastegate with the other manifold and this is a MUCH louder/weirder noise...

i posted on another forum n someone said it may be from a small rip in my flex pipe.....dont know...gonna check it later......

Thanks for the input, and any other suggestions/ideas are appreciated.

CHeck the connection with the dt and the down pipe. Put alittle baby powder on the joints and rev it, if there is a leak you will see it. Other than that I am stumped. GOod luck

def. need a retune everytime u change anything that changed the air flow or similar things. also try puttin new spark plugs in and gap them slightly smaller, my car used to sputter and almost sound like an exhaust leak but it was my ignition cutting out. I have a wideband air/fuel guage and I love it, i can check for things like running too rich or lean, i recommend u get one and see what ur motor is doing, its the ultimate engine checking tool and i think anyone with turbo that doesnt have a wideband guage or similar is just askin for trouble down the road, any little thing that changes in conditions has some type of result in the air fuel ratio. but ya i'd retune it asap u dont wanna blow **** up. too rich is bad also, u'll get fuel in ur oil and can blow bearings. I've seen it happen. hope this helps man, good luck
