Default JRSC pulley combos

Anyone use the unorthodox and a stepper pulley, or a JR upgrade crank pulley and a stepper pulley? I want to up the boost but dont want to replace the charger pulley because I dont want belt slippage issues and its easier to change an alternator pulley. Thanks in advance. Also what did your boost gauge read with the combo?

We have put plenty of them together. The boost depends on what motor it is going on. The Stepper pulley will add 2.5 ish psi , and the crank will add 2-4 psi.
We have a few of each, Give me an E-mail maybe we can save you some $$$$.

Have you used both of them together?

Sorry. If I am running 9:1 compression how much of a boost drop have you seen? I ran two different blocks with simmilar compression and the same exhaust and ran about 8-9 psi on each. The first block was a JG (just garbage) block that had a sunk sleave after a couple of months. My current block is a lsvtec with a commetic head gasket that is supose to drop the compression.

I have a JR upgrade pulley and am going to buy a stepper pulley. Would you recommend the JR upgrade crank pulley and the stepper pulley or the Unorthodox and the stepper pulley? Thanks!

If you are running 8-9 psi now you just need the stepper pulley. Once your at around 10-11 psi the blower is maxed out. Eveything after that is just heat,

You are the JR Guru.... thanks!!!!!

What do you think the max boost is on a stock B18 block with Hondata tunning?
......with and with out intercooling.

BTW I called you about a month ago and went with your recomendation on the B18 block, Thanks!

The block will hold more boost than the supercharger you supply. Even intercooled the supercharger is very inefficiant after 10 psi. The parastatic loss is too much.
Its not just the heat discharge , but the power needed to spin the blower with boost pressure against the blades.
Shoot for 10psi , that is the magic # .

Have you thought of putting in a larger blower? I know that JR has the patent on the way the supercharger spins, but if the prelude charger is larger would it work on a B16A2 application?

Just a question for you CRVRX, when I install my CRV pulley on my B18C1, I am currently using all stock plastic JRSC pulleys by the way, I should be around 9 to 10psi correct? And even if i get your intercooler setup, it still will be somewhat inefficient after 10 PSI correct? I plan on installing my CRV pulley this weekend, and I am wondering if I should get my Hondata retuned for 10 psi?
