hm..... I have the same problem
but mine is a D16y8 with the JRSC running 6psi
the map CEL keeps coming on when I hit full boost
it started doing it 2 days after I put in the walbro 255 pump...
don't really knwo what's going on
tried swaping the map sensor and it's still throwing the code (map sensor signal too high)

You shouldn't run stock plugs on boost. It could also be a fuel problem. I had a situation once where I installed a walboro fuel pump that made so much pressure it was pushing gas right past the pressure regulator man did it bogg. I pulled the pump replaced it with a gsr pump end of problem think you are running way rich. Check your plugs if they are black way too rich if they are white too lean of they have a nice color of brownish grey perfect. Really important to tune the car use a wide band o2 sensor. </TD></TR></TABLE>

i'm using bkr7e plugs as stated before

FMU? not usin one..

it does this after i run some gears out.. i'm actually thinkin it may be a fuel problem still.. i'm leanin out on the top end a little and that overheats the plugs.

it builds 7psi by 2,500 and 9 by 3 i think.. and it stays 9 all the way up.. never drops off

your problem is way different than mine.. but um.. yeah.. what does that have to do with me.. i'm not throwing a code.

if your using the hack. and boostin 9psi or so.. maybe your not correcting enough.

This may be your problem.

my only way of adjusting is advancing say 2 degrees to total 7 degrees retard at 9psi and so on.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

Did you try this yet

BTW, does your car only do this in 3rd? I'm assuming that it acts worse in 4th?

Yes i did try that.. doesn't seem to change it.

the best idea i have right now is that i'm leaning out on the top end for sure.. and after i've ran it hard after it bein lean.. it overheats the plugs..

my solution since i already have a 230lph pump is to get an adjustable fpr and get some more pressure or maybe try another stock fpr because i'm not sure the condition of mine

the car does it after i run out 1st 2nd and then at the top of 3rd it'll start.. then it keeps gettin lower and worse as i beat on it more..

its gotta be the plugs overheating I took them out and they are white and slightly mushroomed..

if fuel preasure is a concern put a guage on the car and see if it drops... i seriously doubt this is the problem tho. these fuel pumps pump enough preasure to run that set up at 8 psi with an 8 to 1 fmu that would be a 64 lb increase you are asking it to run half of that or even less<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by madeiniraq &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

i know thats why i said you are askin it to run half of that or less i mean no 8:1 fmu which the pump is designed to support which is less than what you are running. so if fuel preasure is a concern put a guage on it and check it out

auto meter makes a nice electronic fuel guage so you dont have to have live fuel in the car its less than 200 bucks it works good i use one in my civic its not a bad idea to see your fuel preasure in any forced induction application. so even if this isnt the problem the guage wont be wasted money.

i have a b&m guage.. and i see what your sayin.. yeah the pump should be plenty

i think i've narrowed it down.. its fuel delivery.. i need more pressure via.. regulator.. or maybe thinkin of running a chipped pr4 with ghettodyne and using the vafc for vtec
