I wouldnt do it because you have no way of intercooling it.

Jackson Racing sells an 8 PSI pulley, and Endyne's pulley I believe is for 9 LBS. You do not (can not) have to intercool at 8 PSI. You will need larger injectors, Cartech/Vortech/Comptech FMU, JR MAP mod, and JR BTC. One heat range colder spark plugs and a lower temp thermostat are also highly recommended.

You can skip all of the band aids and get a stand alone engine management system like Hondata. In the end they are very similar in cost but the Hondata is infinitly more tuneable and is less likely to have failure.

In actuality all you need to go to 8 PSI is to retard the timing and get the 8 PSI pulley........but don't expect your engine to last very long.

Water injection helps, but you still need more. I wouldnt go 10psi with a stock Sohc motor though. Build it and you can get a machine shop to make you a custom pulley for any size. You might want to look into getting a bigger crank pulley.

Didn't someone make a homemade boost controller for the JRSC?

Actually it is a boost LIMITER. With an SC you have to have the pulley which will allow you to build the amount of boost you want to run. ie If you have a 6 psi pulley, you will only run 6 psi regardless of what you set the EBL to. But If you have a 10 psi pulley you can Limit the boost to 6 psi
