Default jrsc on D16Y8

I was thinking about Supercharging my car and was wondering what type of gains can I expect from it on a D16Y8.

Expect to see gains of about 40hp. I had a JRSC on my 1.6 a long time ago and take it from me Turbo is better, dont do the same mistake I did. Go Turbo!!

I heard stock cars are really reliable. That's it, my car is going back to stock!

I love jrsc, I'm gettin one soon. BUT i really wouldn't recommend one on a d-series engine. You'll be about as fast as a STOCK gsr. I wouldn't do it, I'd go turbo... or even better swap and then start building from there.

Anytime you do something that wasn't what the factory intended, you have to be careful. A turbo and supercharger is pretty much the same in that respect. Whoever said it is as reliable as you make it is right.

As long as you take the necessary precautions, you'll be fine. Go with a turbo, you'll be happy, trust me.

If we say a certain psi is recommended for your setup, listen. It's when you go overboard with boost and other things that will sacrifice reliability.

Hmm, sounds sorta like "I love turbos, I wish I had one!"... How would you know whether you love them or not?

ok dude... i just meant that i liked the idea of them... flat torque all the way through.. the dynoes... and reading people's experience... i'm a recent high school grad, and I'm sorry if i can't afford a jrsc right now, saving up for college. That's why I have to save up for one, and balance college expenses too. But I will be getting one by summer since I'm more then half way there.
