Default JRC 6" Intercooler on EG fitment issues. Need advice.

I used to have this setup on a 97 civic but now I'm switching it over to a 94' Civic HB.

I have the standard Johnnyracecar 6 inch intercooler and I mounted it directly in the middle under the bumper support. The only way I can get the bumper to fit on is to cut out the foglight areas. I do not want to do this, does anyone have any advice to make it all fit?

Piping is 2.5 inch. The piping hits the bottom of the fog light area about half inch to an inch. I could space the intercooler lower I guess but it would look kinda retarded through the grill with a 1.5 gap before the intercooler starts.

Thanks!!

my JRC 6" fit fine with the 2/3dr front bumper. The intercooler pipes ran right underneath where the fog holes where. mounted right to the bottom of the bumper support. i had 2.5" pipes all custom made by me so everything fit good. I took out the windshield washer resevoir to make it fit tighter...

my fog holes where already cutout when i got the bumper tho, maybe there is something else there that was cut off? or maybe it has something to do with the fact I have a four door.

ITs the housings for the fog lights. They are square and bulky inside the bumper, my piping/coupling hits on the bottom by like an inch.

Bolted up to the bumper support the intercooler pipes hit the housing......like I said earlier, i could space it lower with some spacers to clear but I tried it and it looks ghey!

I would so rather not cut out the fog light area's its a dead turbo giveaway.

any pics without bumper on?

thanks for the pics dunkd, looks just like my ****, I don't get why mine doesn't fit? I wonder If I could put less of the pipe inside the coupling and just pursued the bumper to fit???

I'll try to take some pics tomorrow but mine looks pretty much just like dunkd's.

My JRC 6" intercooler comes in today. I plan on leaving the grills also because it just looks cleaner in my opinion. I will find a way to make it clear. Ill let u know after I install.

If your still wondering, I got my 6" JRC intercooler bolted up last week and I got the piping done today. I was able to keep the stock grills, all of them. It just took a lot of modification. I'll have pics up soon.

tight, I'd like to see how you did it. I am gonna get a new bumper somewhere down the road and would like to not cut the grilles out cause I already cut them the other day on my current bumper......sigh....ohwel.

Did you order on with 2.5 in/outlet or 2.25, I've discovered that this is my problem, if I had 2.25 piping instead of 2.5 and possibly a slightly shorter intercooler I would not have any probs.

I'm going to sell my intercooler to a buddy doing a F20/h22 trubo hybrid and buy the 8" one for JRC with 2.25 in/outlets.

Actually, I ordered the regular 2.5 on both ends ( didn't wanna spend the extra 10 dollars) It was a very tight fit, but it fit. It cleared by about 1-2 mms, haha. I had to cut and shave a lot of the center grill, and a little of the side grills to fit it. Its a pain, but in the end, it was worth it. Ill try to get the pics up soon, im lazy to remove my bumper, haha.

I guess since your getting a 8" intercooler now, your going to have to remove your bumper support to get it to fit.
