Default JE/SRP Sprio Lock Help

I'm trying to assemble my pistons and rods and having real trouble with the damn sprio locks. They seem to be bigger around then the wrist pin hole. Is this normal? Will it compress laterally when they are spun into the hole? Any help you would be great.

it is supposed to be bigger then the hole, that is how it applies pressure to the ring that is machined in there. THe inscrutions have a diagram on how to to it. I found it best to use my fingernail and pry the bottom open slightly and slip it down the hole. I then kind of twist the rest in. It is hard to explain without showing. Just be careful not to stretch it to much or it will warp.Ill try and put up picks of the sheet I can find it.
