JDM H22 FI build questions.
I've done quite a bit of reading about building the engines but I'm still lost. Basically my goal is to boost my JDM H22 motor 8-9 psi. I want to run it maybe like 6 daily. Basically, I need forged pistons, rings and darton sleeves(bore?). The pistons will lower the comp to 9 to 1. How much will I be looking at and if I can get a shopping list of parts, I will really appreciate it. Thanks.

forged pistons $500ish if you run shelfs - go with CP 9.0:1 pistons and wiseco rings
rods $300-600 (i recommend crower billets)
dartons $ 900ish sleeve and install
Then you will spend roughly another 500 on OEM parts such as new gaskets, seals, bearings, etc, etc.
There are a ton of other things I highly recommend such as larger injectors, custom turbo set-up, hondata, etc.

if there arent too many miles on the motor you dont need any of that **** to run 8-9 psi and 6 psi daily. just get a good fuel system and a good tune on it.

That is true. I would not go over 8psi though, H series piston rings are very weak and prone to breaking under heavy load. Invest in a hondata, fine tune your motor, and you will be safe pushing 8psi all day long given that you do a cylinder leakdown test and yield good numbers.
