Default pistons for h22 build

im in the process of starting to buy parts to build my h22... currently am running 8 psi on the stock motor in my 01 prelude... but i want to get a lot more out of it than that... my ? is which pistons do you guys recommend for say a 15 psi daily driver and over 20 psi for the track... and also which pistons will take the most abuse and still last for a long time?

We use Arias pistons exclusively. Consistent on the piston clearances and we use them in plenty of high boost race engines.

With whatever piston you go with, you'll need to save for resleeving...but from the sounds of it, you may have already known that

if you use Mahle gold series pistons, you won't need to sleeve it. They are made for FRM blocks

Does the Arias pistons still have "Piston Slap?" I remember on my old motor it slapped alot on my h22 back in 2002. I think the machine shop may have just ran piston to wall a little too loose.

What piston to wall clearance do you run?

no piston slap at all. we use about 5-10 Arias pistons per month and all have been great.

Clearances are a factor as well like with any piston brand. We run the spec required by Arias.
