Default New noob... Preparing for h22 turbo build

Hey guys really happy to be here and really happy with the new toy i got my hands on. I bought a 98 h22a4 in perfect condition, couldn't be any happier. Plans so far are a complete tear down of the engine complete rebuild, planning on using eagle rods, weisco forged pistons, sunk2 or BC cams with sunk2 intake manifold, no idea on the turbo yet, also I'm going to need to get a hold of a 5 speed tranny. In due time hoping for 300whp around there. Anyways once the build starts I'll make a build thread, and looking forward to the advice and experience that you guys have, have a good one.

You'll need sleeves to run forged pistons. Figure that into your budget.

300whp seems a bit low for a turbo build on an H22.

I believe you can get that with pistions, connecting rods and a tune...?? people can call BS..

i'm planning on doing a sleeved h22 this year the goals are slightly higher.

I ran a stock h22 8lb 318to the wheels then broke the ring glands on the stock pistons. So I sleeved the block put wisco pistons eagle rods race bearing arp studs all the way around ect and on 22 lb I put down 505 at the wheels sleeve the block if not you will just be wasting your money all my block are jdm h22s tho closed deck

the h22 sleeves are frm, that's why the stock pistons have coated skirts. the only forged pistons you can use with the OEM frm sleeves are the ones from Mahle, all others require ductile iron sleeves.
