jackson racing supercharger setup?
what do you guys recommend for a JRSC setup for fuel management and stuff for my 99 Si?
so far, what i have to go on is maybe a walbro 155lpm fuel pump, injectors and the AFC hack.
on the other hand, maybe an fmu, fuel reg., fuel rail, etc set up w/ the walbro pump or inline fuel pump..
i don't know which one to do. i was thinkin the first is the better setup but i dunno...
for those of you who have the JRSC, what do you guys have and think would be the better setup. no money for hondata yet....

Re: jackson racing supercharger setup? (Sipower99)
Need far more info before any reasonable suggestions can be made.
What psi?
what size injectors?
what exhaust?
and for the $64,000 question, what budget?
For a poor mans special people have been having good luck with the SMC fuel management. Under 8 psi that should be all you really need.

Re: jackson racing supercharger setup? (92sleepR)
what's the SMC fuel magagement?
yeah, all i have is the regular jackson racing kit as of now.
it comes w/ the 6lb pulley so i'll be runnin on around like 5 psi-ish.
i've heard people had some detonation problems so i just wanted to
be safe so i can beat on the car w/ no problems.
it's my second 99 si, so i'm not that attached to it like my first turboed si that got
stolen. just some lil more power to play w/ that's all....
yeah, budget wise, whatever really... whatever works best. i can save up for the
better setup if it really came down to it. but as of now, i have a few hundred dollars to play w/.

heres the smc: http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~ecg
there are many different versions out, the latest is the SMC500
"zip" on this board makes them, and they work very well for low levels of boost. they do require a wideband o2 monitor for tuning, so either invest in one, or get your setup dyno tuned. you use the smc with 450-550 cc injectors.

If you are running the 6lb pulley I would leave the Jackson FMU on there and do the TPS trick, Set the timming at 11 degs and it will run fine.
Then save your money and do it right , ie. 550cc injectors and a Hondata and get it tuned. The money you will put into Band aids can sit in the bank untill you do it right.
Everyone always wants to inprove the kit, but it's one on the few boost systems on the market that is carb leagal !
As I've said before , save your money, Do it right or do it twice.

Re: jackson racing supercharger setup? (CRVRX)
thanks for your reply.
yeah, i agree with you on that....
i'm really not a man on doing it the cheap way anyway...
do you know if i still need to run a higher volume intank fuel pump w/ hondata still?
by the way, how much does hondata cost? i'm too lazy to look for the price right now, but i remember lookin at it like a year ago goin for like $5-600. was that about right?
