Ive looked up the combination of using both units but the search function isnt working as we all know. My question is, how long would you usually say setting the sensitivity of the j&s take? When using hondata, how hard is it to incorperate it with your dyno tuning? My motor is already dyno tuned, but it will be going in again for minor tweaks here and there with the new ignition system and a few other goodies.

It took me 5 minutes to dial in the sensitivity on my J&S. However, I installed the J&S before I installed the JRSC, so I was able to run the car up and down the street at WOT with no issues while adjusting the sensitivity **** until the J&S stopped retarding timing.

I assume you are only using the J&S for knock protection, and not for boost timing retard, in which case as long as you have your sensitivity dialed in right it is not going to affect your hondata tune at all.

Yes im only using the J&S for knock protection and not boost retard, but it does retard timing over hondata if it senses detonation, correct? which version do you guys recommend purchasing and where is the best place to get them? Ive seen them for around 400$ i believe...

Get the "classic" version, which has only knock retard. They are not longer in production so you'll have to find a used one.

Just curious, why would you need J&S with hondata if you arent pre-igniting or detonating?
