ITR piston and rod opinion
..INTRO Ok, here's my weak moment. I used to be a soapbox preacher on the awesomeness of a true all motor build, but after too many high powered [freak]ing D series blow by me, I had to revert. You're only a purist until you're all by yourself, then you're just a slow retard! I'm already boosting my JDM ITR on all stock internals making a pleasant 300WHP on 8.5psi. I am now about to send my block to golden eagle to have it sleeved for a little more peace of mind. My build will be a for a cool 550 to the wheels which I should only need pistons, rods and studs in addition to the sleeving. I was looking at the CP pistons keeping my stock bore and going with manly rods. I already have ARP head studs and the GT35R along with everything from my previous turbo setup. The car is built for 650+ the only thing that won't hold that power is the motor herself.
..QUESTION My question is, what is the general consensus on the CP pistons and Manly rods. Are they the best bang for the buck without going bang? What would a good setup be for 550 that can easily be tuned to 350 for DDing.
BTW, I just picked up a brand new in box CTR intake cam for $200!

Re: ITR piston and rod opinion (elsombradelsol)
cp pistons and manley rods are good combination for 550whp...hell you could even go with eagles and save a bit of money but if your dead set on going with manley thats not a bad decision either
