Default Running stronger pistons/rods on FI motor

1) Block is b18c1 and i plan to use JE pistons and Eagle Rods. Now, forged piston would be stronger than stock.. but what about rings? If I only messed up rings on my stock itr pistons, then wouldn't i end up in same shoes with forged pistons, - can someone explain?

2) Also, can stock itr rods take 300whp? I had no problems at 265whp.. so is it wise to stick with oem itr rods?

3)What type of coating is available for pistons? anyone done this?

sure you can use like "jetcoat" and other coaters for pistons...

make sure you get some beefy rods..

ITR rods will have no problem takign 300+whp, but i suggest just getting some rods since you building it anyways, eventually your gonna want more.

itr rods will have to be machiend to take JE pistons. might as well save the $ on that, have stronger forged rods, and sell your ITR rods.

the rings on a JE piston are different. you will be fine with their rings.
