ITBs or Supercharger
hello HT!!!
i am on the process of rebuilding a db2 to show quality conditions bt i have ran into a bit of a dilemma i currently have an all motor set up pushing 237whp with an open header on 100 octane and 218whp on a street tune(full exhaust on 91) bt i would like to give my engine a more distinct look so i was thinking of replacing my edlebrock manifold with a set of itb's or a supercharger bt i always been an ALL MOTOR guy so i dont have any experience with either one what are the ups and downs on both of them and which will be more reliable/less problematic? Thanx in advance any HELPFUL input will be appreciated....
my current set up: 85mm B18c 11.8:1, buddy club spec IV cams

Re: ITBs or Supercharger
with the supercharger you could get to 300whp easy...with the itbs you might gain 10whp...the itbs will be more reliable because all your doin is changing your intake manifold...a supercharger your adding boost ..but i would go supercharger car will be faster..but im not into show cars thats just me...

Re: ITBs or Supercharger
If you run a low boost setup with a really good and conservative tune, probably won't be an issue...but 11.8 and 85mm is a bit of a scare. You may end up having to pull so much timing it may not be worth it, but i have NO s/c experience so take this info with a grain of salt.
