intercooler sprayer
when using an intercooler sprayer, should u compensate for this with tuning? becasue i would like to spray some nitrous or co2 through my intecooler when at the track and on a hot day when playing around. just wondering what people have to say about this or people running wet/dry/DP with a turbo setup
im somewhat of a newb when it comes to nitrous

if you want to drop intake temps and gain hp you would be better off just running a 35 shot it would serve both. the whole sprying the intercooler thing is pretty much horse ****. good luck

i've been dabbling with water spray recently on a friends dsm.
that stock piece of **** interheater loves h2o.. but its too tiny to displace any significant amount of heat on its own with air; so the cooling the evaporation of the water adds really helps...
i know that using n2o or co2 is a crock of ****; the only people i've seen that could show gains on that were people who would suck the n2o into their intake after it went through the i/c. I dont thinke the nx ricer cooler bar thing would cool ENOUGH of the intercooler to really make a difference...

well i had the n-tercooler on my car and made 50 hp and 80 ftlbs of torque w/ it and it took of .3 in the 1/4 mile and added 4 mph.. so it works... and you could tell that the intercooler was definately cooler... and my intake was not behind my IC so the n2o wasnt passing thru the IC and into the intake
so if i just run a small shot of nitrous, you guys think i should mess with my tuning to compensate or would a 55 shot be to small to even bother retuning. im gona run 20psi on a built block
again if you must, just use a NX wet kit, put the nozzle about 18" away from tb. only use the 35 jets the n2o and the fuel will dramatically lower your intake temps and help to increase air density. you shouldn't have to re-tune. the wet kits provide fuel with the extra o2 and the cooler intake temps should keep you out of trouble with ignition timing assuming your running a Conservative street tune. a 50 shot changes all of this. of course this is all relative if your running a b16 on a stock bottom end, pushing 400hp that extra 35 could be the straw that broke the camels back. but if your running a good set-up, Conservative tune, and a slightly overbuild bottom end, you should be able to run that 35 all day. if you have ever driven a n2o car you know what i mean. with the 35 jets installed its like the "V-TaKK" you can hear it and you think you can feel it. now a 50 shot is more like a good kick in the ***.

yeah, i get it, but you probably had a good tuner and your gains are relative to what your running. nice numbers by the way, your tq is insane
i think for the average guy with the average kit your gains would not be typical. i wonder what kind of number you would have put down with a 35 shot into your intake instead?

well when i got those #'s i was running a pretty basic kit... t3/t4E, log mani, etc.... and im sure it didnt hurt that it was about 80 degrees in the dyno room but i sold the kit and turned up the boost instead... it is defiantly cheaper. no more n2o to buy all the time.
the #'s in the sig are w/o the n2o and up w/ the boost...
