intercooler piping question

intercooler piping question
i have 2.25 intercooler piping. my friend tells me that i can do 2.5 charge pipe to the left side of the car and 2.25 on the other side. is there any benefit to this?
btw the turbo i will be using is turbonectics t3/t4 on built head and stock block.

stick w/ 2.25" if thats what you have. 2.25" should support 400hp no problem. I think 2.5" is used more often just because it's available as well as the fact that most intercoolers have 2.5" inlets and couplers and clamps are easy to find for 2.5".
