this is my opinion, and i am typing in caps b/c this stuff pisses me off. YOU SPRAY WATER ONTO A DRY TRACK AND I AM UP AFTER YOU AND HIT THE WALL BECAUSE OF IT, SOME ONE WILL DIE IF IT WASN'T ALREADY ME. this **** makes absolutely no sense. i am sorry for being mad, but this is just not right. there is a solution for this, it is an intercooler efficient enough for your power goal. again this is just what i think. if you need to spray it, use Co2 or something like that that does not wet the track.

The only thing misting is good for is to combat heatsoak. Heatsoak is what you get after a few hard runs, with a TINY intercooler, or from an IC thats very close to an uncoated exhaust section. If you are to spray [at the drag strip], you should ONLY be doing that while you drive back to line up, or are at the end of a very long line. Even on a hot day, many 1-2 gear romps would never get the cold side of the IC barely more than warm to the touch. The paint on the roof would usually be hotter from the sun.

Anyways I'd go with one of the new car's windshield misters. Those damn things spray like a freaking garden hose, and I always get it on my windshield if they are less than 5 cars away from me on the highway.

I got a garden mister kit from "Mist and cool", and it worked great. They are like the misters at the grocery store that spray the veggies, really fine mist, not a spray, I had like 5 nozzles on my IC, and it did cool it down durring the summer. Spent like $20 bucks on it.

yea...check out DEI's website for the intercooler sprayerthingy..it runs CO2 which is definitely cheaper than NOS....well the system costs about the same but filling the bottles is cheaper than nitrous
