Default Johnny racecar intercooler

Im not 100% sure that this is the pace to post this but of all the different forums I thought this one was the most suitable. I want to know where I can get a johnny race car inter-cooler and roughly how much one would run me. And I would take any suggestions that people may have on an inter-cooler for my DA. Thanks

The JRC intercooler is no longer made. There are a few flowing around here from $150-$200. I also I'm using a 8" JRC intercooler myself. Works great.

Thats a bummer. Can anyone tell me what to look for in an intercooler other than the obvious. I have never purchased an IC and im not really sure what to look out for. Thanks

If you are on a budget built than any ebay intercooler will work fine. If you have the money the precision intercooler are nice.

So your saying the precision 350hp intercooler is not capable of cooling and/or flowing enough for 350hp as advertised, or that you took your precision intercooler past 350hp to 443 and that was the most its good for and therefore underated?

WTF We are talking about JRC not Precision...It wasent really a problem of cooling but Flowing. I went from a JRC 8" IC 443 @30psi to a Precision 650hp ic it made 480@20psi....

It just could not flow the CFM i was trying to make it flow...

I found the JRC design to be quite restricting. I "upgraded" to an e-bay 27" IC and actually notice BETTER spool up time and obviously better cooling. I could barely see through my JRC, but the newer ebay one I could.

It's a poor design as well since it's better to have short and fat rather then long and skinny like the JRC. E-bay ones are cheaper too. Just giving my 2 cents

What else was changed on the setup? There is no way at those low power levels you noticed this much of a difference with 10PSI less.

Just my 2 cents I believe the BAR and PLATE designs are better overall vs. the fin design. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

That was what I was looking for when I was IC searching.

Good luck.

Thanks... Was this the older style JRC?. I made 424@26psi with ~3psi drop on a small SC50 .48. I guess it might be difference from D to B.

interesting none the less...
