H22 throttle body
Hi
I have a buildt H22A engine with Golden Eagle intake manifold.
Power goal is 400Whp.
The stock H22A come with a throttle body that is water heated from the coolant. It seems that it is thermostat controlled inside the throttle body.
I have searched HT and the reason for the water heating ppl come up with is to eliminate freezing of the valve/throttle body. (sticky valve)
My question is, what about non-OEM throttle bodys, dont they stick ? There is no heating on them as far I can see.
Can I expect HP gain with another non-OEM throttle body, any sugestions what i should get?
Thanks

THe prelude throttle body has a fast idle thermo valve that connects to the bottom. coolant does run thru it but it can be eliminated. If you have a EMS you can tune you fast idle and everything down perfectly. I have blocked off my fast idle thermo valve and disconnected coolant flow from the IAC and FITV. I have never had freezing problems and i live in new england
