Default Intercooler Brands/Sizing

Looking for a good quality intercooler, 2" coldside 2.5" hotside, good for up to 450ish HP (though I plan on 400 at the most, never know) I'm thinking 26x8x3 standard, or maybe a bit bigger, any suggestions? GTX2867 Turbo 98 integra LS

Garrett, PWR, and Bell offer some of the highest quality and efficiency intercooler cores. However it really depends on what you're looking to spend on a core and if you have a welder to put end tanks on it. By definition a core doesn't have end tanks FYI.

You might not find an IC with the inlet/outlet sizes you're looking for, but you can always run a 2-2.5 or 2.5-3" coupler to span the difference.

Thanks I'm looking into possibly vibrant or garrett, I've heard good things about both

That's a good idea, cant believe I didn't think of that, I think I'll just get 2.5in/out and use couplers for both sides. Will that material you linked work for the hotside too?

Hot side charge piping, yes. Hot side as in turbine, no no no no no....

Just don't buy cheap couplers and you'll be fine. I'd suggest Vibrant or some other 3-5ply coupler from a reputable company.

Right I was just talking about for the compressor housing outlet ( what my hand is on in this pic)

the only thing i need for the turbo hotside is the downpipe and a pipe for the wastegate dump if I understand correctly

BTW Man utd is the best

I've been thinking about one, do they harm the housing at all by trapping more heat in there? I know they keep the engine bay temps down A LOT, just don't have any personal experience with them.

You WANT the heat in the turbine housing. More heat = better exhaust energy flow.

Keeps the bad heat out and the good heat in! Coating helps also.

Ran a PWR on my old setup. Very efficient and quality built. Don't EVEN mess with those cheap $69 Ebay specials.
