Default intercooler

do i have to have turbo to use an intercooler or can i use the inercooler without a turbo set up. from what i hear and i seen you do nead turbo but just wondering

No, you do not have to use a turbo to use an intercooler, but using an intercooler without a turbo would only make you lose power because it would be a restriction.

Think of it this way the intercooler uses the air running by it, and it is impossible to get the air inside the intercooler any cooler than the temperature of the air running by it. So a filter extracting that very same air will already get you are that temperature will much less restriction.
