Insulated Gaskets with boost
There are alot of question on why some people dont run Insulated gaskets on hi boost appl.? Take a look at these new gaskets made by PRO FAB.These gaskets will take BOOST wihout leaking or melting problems. They are made out of G10 PHENOMIC.?? i think thats how you spell it?? Top fuel dragsters us these supposely?? anyone have any ideas
PRO FAB Gaskets and Hondata/AN-R gaskets
This is what happenes over a long period of time. The plastic warps and melts with fuel and heat.
I dont think anyone was aware of this situation until now.[/B] .
With these gaskets you dont need to cut, shave, clean, modify, port, drill, or any work, simply bolt on and fire up.

Thats what it was. What do you guys think?? MAKE OR BREAK.??

Do a comparison dyno with a Hondata gasket.......couldnt hurt

Dyno Tunning Will be done after new years at TRACKMASTER DYNO SERVICE. There will be a H-T dyno day with Free dyno tune hours, given away. Working on alot of Stuff to help out H-T members for next season.
i dont know if a dyno would reveal much. i am going to guess the difference in "thermal conductivity" is low between this and the plastic. i always did question how plastics would hold up when sandwiched against the head like that, but i dont have any further info on it.
i am curious as to the cost difference between the phenolic and the plastic gaskets.

We are going to dyno them but like you said Falcon i dont think the dyno will give us much answers as wee would need to check it with a air temp sensor or something like that?? correct me if im wrong.? Thanks Falcon and everyone else for you inputs.

Yah something to measure the temp change. Ever think about making one for the throttle body as well??

i honestly dont think you're going to be able to measure a difference at all between plastic and phenolic.
the only advantage one might have over the other is how well it lasts over time. need some long term testers.

Let me tell you why we wouldnt need one for the T-Body. If you reroute the coolent lines like Hondata says, the T body will not conduct much heat. Just my thre.ory. Im sure it wouldnt hurt but if its not the exact size it will also casue a lil bit of turblulance. Im sure all motor cars wouldnt like that

Problem with that is when it gets real cold the throttle can stick
Problem with that is when it gets real cold the throttle can stick
and the IACV too. thats why theres coolant running through it.
and it can freeze/stick when the temp is above freezing too. ask anyone who has flown a carbureted private plane.

Where the Hell you guys live.? ALASKA.? We are out here in Cali. No worries about snow. I dont think Texas and FL need to worry about that either.

There are around 15 other states that get snow in the winter months...so its not just alaska that gets snow
j/k man no fuss,LOL. Given my situation I wish I had better weather, *currently under 4" of the white stuff*
I need to move out of NY, no avoiding it here
. Oh well.

1. the pictured gasket is not an an-r gasket
2. you do not need to cut, shave, clean, modify, port, drill our gaskets, they are direct bolt on
3. our gaskets do not melt.
4. they are not poor quality ("The AN-R race gaskets fit better than the Hondata Race gaskets, so you won't need to modify them (as much - I found a port shoulder section that needed a little grinding). I don't know about the street stuff tho. I've never used those.") at almost half the price of hondatas gasket they are a bargain
