Installed SX 1:1 fpr, started car, and 71psi of fuel pressure!!
I cant find the directions for the fpr and Im sorry this is a stupid question but which way do I turn the screw on top of the fpr to lower the fuel pressure? Do I screw it down (tighten it) or loosen it? If I loosen it much morethe screw is going to come out. WHat do I do? I didnt really do anything to the fpr when I installed it. I just put the screw in the top and threaded it a couple times and then locked the nut on it.
Ive got:
walbro 255lph in tank
sx 1:1 fpr
aem rail
rc 550s
f-t.com line kit
and a chipped ecu (basically uberdata)
what do you think?

turn left to loosen and turn right to make it go up

if you have it all the way out and it still wont go below 75psi, than you have a problem with the instalation or the fpr itself.

Re: Installed SX 1:1 fpr, started car, and 71psi of fuel pressure!! (brryder)
its connected to the end of the rail and ss line is ran fron the bottom of it to the stock hard line. the vacuum line is ran to it also... what am I missing?
edit: also, there is a tiny tiny bit of fuel fizzing out of the gold allen head flush-fit screw in the front of the fpr. any idea there? my fuel pressure went over 90psi this last time of priming. the screw is all the way loose.
i have no experience with fprs but wouldnt tightening it make the valve close and cut off the amount of fuel allowed to the rail, thus making less pressure and if its all the way open then as much fuel can flow that wants, thus increasing pressure? help?!?!?!

you are correct turn it down ot tighten it up and turn it left to loosen it up and gain pressure it should not be at 75psi though set it with the vaccumm off

changing it with the vacuum off... while the car is on or off? Sorry but I have never had to use a fpr before and I can not find the directions that came with it... anyone care to explain the process of changing fuel pressure.

b&m that i got with an old b&m fpr... it worked fine when I had it connected to the filter (before SS lines and earls fittings).
it is now screwed into the rail, about an inch or so from the fpr.
should the gauge still read any fuel pressure after 12 hours of the car sitting? I looked at it the next day after it showed me over 80psi of pressure and atleast 12 hrs later it still was reading 21psi, as if the pressure isnt going away after the car is off.

Re: (JonGP4)
this is how its hooked up? what gave you the idea that I had it backwards?
for the time being, I taped the threads extra thick and wrenched it down half way so that the fitting isnt bottoming out anymore. I now have solid fuel pressure. Thanks for the help everyone.
anyone have any ideas for a permanent fix other than grinding away part of the fitting to make it shorter?
