Default Inline fuel pump wiring help...

I'm about to install my inline fuel pump under my hood and I need some help identifying a place to get power from it. I've been told to use a relay on it, but I'm not quite clear on the concept (I understand the reasons, but not the actual wiring). If someone could walk me through this or draw me a diagram and tell me what wires I can use to get a signal for the relay I would be forever appreciative.

Pin 86- to the main relay uner the hood. If you have a helms manual you can find what pin.

Pin 87- Goes to your inline pumps positive(+).

Pin 85- chasis ground.(Make sure its a good ground on bare metal and not the painted metal.)

Pin 30- Goes to the (+) on your cars battery.

Note: make sure you have a good ground on the fuel pump too. This is very important.
