Default Increased coolant temp issue

Alright so I take my car for a spin for the first time since build, driving for about 30 miles. I have bypased the heater core by looping the coolant line, and bypased all the intake manifold coolant passages. Coolant fan is fine check, coolant level is fine check. Is it possible the reason why its over heating is due to the less volume of coolant, and coolant flow? PS. no thermastat.

they run warm to begin with, even with the heater core. could be many reasons like fan setup, radiator etc...

if your heater core doesnt leak, hook it back up. i can consistantly pull 4-6 degrees out of my coolant from using my heat with the fan on the second setting

When you deleted your heater core is it possible that there is an air bubble trapped in the new hose? Engines seem like they are topped off but still get hot and need to be bled... Just a thought.

overheating is usually

1. blown hg
2. radiator too small for hp level
3. inadequate air flow through radiator

it's one of those

as said above, the heater core actually helps pull heat out of the engine

I think its because of three factors, first i think my downpipe is too close to the radiator transfering massive heat to the radiator, second i placed my fan on the other side of the radiator, the fan is pulling air but i think it is restricting air once i am driving, third my intercooler setup is blocking the radiator.

if its in front, it needs to be a pusher, not a puller.
heat wrap/ceramic coat your downpipe... done

I just put the fan on the inside of the engine bay since its blowing air out towards the intercooler. Still the intercooler is 4" thick and I am afraid it is blocking airflow toward the radiator, I will run if and see how it does.

no. no. no. no. NO.

when installed in the engine bay, it should pull air through the radiator... when in front it should push air through.

all you're doing now is forcing hot air from the engine bay and downpipe through your radiator...

put it in front of the radiator and wire it as a PUSHER fan...

think we're starting to see the problem. switch the + amd - on that fan so it spins the other direction and see if it helps.

as for the downpipe. i'm ceramic coating mine as well as the snail exhaust housing and manifold. sounds like it would be a good idea for you too

^^agreed. that could b ur entire problem. wat u could also try is puttin that thermostat back in. without havin some sort of coolant metering in the system, the coolant isnt in the radiator long enough to fully cool down. jus get a thermostat that opens sooner as opposed to the stock temp
