Default I'm taking bets

I'm taking bets on what my new HP numbers will look like. Here is the before chart. The only thing I changed was I swapped out my 1.75" crush bend cat-back and 2.5" DP for a full 3" mandrel bent turbo-back system.

Any takers?

BTW, ignore the torque side. The dyno conversion factor was malfunctioning that day...

This is border-line bench racing, but I'd say 280hp w/o knowing anything about your turbo setup. Manifold? Turbo? We shouldn't have to look it up, nor even be expected to see that "b16tt" on your picture.

I don't know why he put "TT" in there. It is a single turbo It's not even a CRX, it's a civic Si hatch.

BTW, this is just for fun anyway. I'm not really serious about this, nor do I care what people think. I just thought it would be fun to have some people take a guess and see who was closest...

I'm going to try and have him turn up the boost next time, but I will have him do a print out before we start turning it up just to see what kind of a difference opening up her lungs a little would make.

My guess is what you said, about 280ish at the same boost pressure.

276whp and a million tq. Opening up the ex side will help out how much I guess we shall see. I would have went with some bigger injectors and turned the boost soon as I got there if I had changed out the ex. The stock motor can make allot more than 280 why waste time just get over with? You can make in the high 3's and still dd plus save money so you don't to keep re tunning the car.

a million torque... LOL

Good point. Maybe I'll just do one pull without tuning at the same boost pressure just to see what the "bolt on" power increase would be. I've got a wideband, and it doesn't appear to be leaning out or becoming overly rich at all. Usually stays between 12 - 14 AFR.

I'm just curious about these things. You know? Like how much of a difference things like that make. It's like a science experiment to me.

You think I'm going to need bigger than 680cc injectors?

What I have learned in the years is just go as big as you can that wont be over kill. I will never buy less than 1000cc injector ever again I dd on my 1k's and will never go back. That's one thing that can go to motor to motor and so on.

I see. I just remember talking to the guy who sold me the injectors about "injector drip" It was something I had never heard before. He said generally anything over 600cc is going to have it and it increases witht he size of the injector. I was also told (by my tuner) that I should buy injectors that match my HP goal which for me is around 350. My understanding is that 680cc injectors will be good up to about 450 HP.

While you make a good point, I just wanted to minimize injector drip and bad idling by using an injector that is just a little bit bigger than what I need.
