im just about to turbo my car,am i ready?
i have a 94 VX. stock motor d15z1. 132k miles.runs perfect.
my so called setup:
t3 turbo
intercooler piping
450cc DSM injectors with resistors
big spearco front mount
1st gen DSM bov
tapped oil pan/ lines.
boost guage
turbo manifold
downpipe
boost controller
i plan on running 4-5 lbs daily driver, i think i have everything. I have some questions!
?do i need a FMU or Missing Link??
??how many lbs should i run for daily driving???
??just use downpipe for exhaust or weld the downpipe to stock exhaust?( i have stock exhaust with n1 style canister??

Youre going to need something to control those 450's. IE AFC Hack, Uberdata, Hondata...something.
How many PSI is up to the condition of the motor, your aspirations, your tuner, what youre tuning with, and how big your ***** are. 5PSI is VERY conservative.
Open downpipe will be loud and may spike depending on your manifold. If you have the welder to weld the downpipe to your stock exhaust, you should also be able to weld a flange on and make a bigger exhaust or buy an aftermarket unit.

You have many routes to go for fuel management. FMU/missing link is one of them. But I suggest you just invest in atleast an air/fuel controller (eg. APEX'i VAFC or SAFC). If you invest in an AFC there is no need for the FMU and missing link. But if you do invest in an FMU/missing link instead, since you are running the 450 injectors...invest in a 8:1 calibrated FMU.

Stick with the stock ecu, and get a used afc form the classifides for like 150 bucks. For 4-5lbs you should be fine with the hack and a little bit of timing retard.
