I'm confused.....
I know, I know... I have searched... and more than just here at honda-tech, but everytime I start reading about catch cans and pcv's, I end up with my head hurting and still not knowing what I need to do.
I am running a t25 on a d16z6 at 8-14lbs of boost. All I want to know is
1) do I NEED a cach can, or will the stock pcv system work ok, or
2) if a catch can is needed, do I just remove the pcv, and run the stock pcv block outlet and valve cover breather with a tee into the catch can and let that vent into the turbo intake pipe.
that is all I need to know.
Also, if I use a can with a breather filter on top, do I need to even plumb it back into the turbo intake pipe

I have heard form a lot of different sources that if you run under about 14 psi of boost, that a catch can is not exactly manditory. Now, in any case just because it is not manditory, does not mean that it can not be used for extra insurance for the rings. It will just go into a slash cut tube back into the charge pipe somewhere.

I think the reason I would smoke at idle was because I didnt introduce a slash cut tube for vac.
I hollowed out my pvc with a drill and put it back in the hole and ran a hose off it to the ground... I plugged off the other end at the manifold.. I got a breather off the valve cover.... Doing this gave me white smoke at stop lights and long idle........ I was told I need to do a slash cut tube to the exhaust to complete the set up.... I got the tube and have yet to hook it up to see if it works with no smoke......
