Default ignition

ok im almost dont collecting all the parts i need for my turbo setup and now was wondering into ignition for it. i know my stock h22 ignition can handel something like 250whp but just to be on the safe side ide rather get something new. i was thinking about getting the msd 6al but heard of cases where it would just die out of nowhere about a year or so after installation.

so what would u guys recomend be a good ignition setup for a boosted h22 ok thanks?

stock honda ignition systems are good for 400-500+ whp.

There's no need to upgrade. Also don't preludes have OEM external coils? If so then it's stronger than our b-series systems that are good for plenty of power.

np I would recommend making sure it's in tip top shape though.

I'm not boosted yet but I'm running NGK "blue" plug wires, just changed the cap and rotor, and will be putting some new plugs in before i boost.

Just because it's an external coil, doesn't necessarily make it better. From what i've seen, around 400whp the stock ign. starts getting a little on edge. You can keep closing the gap more and more and probably get it to fire, but a better ign. system will allow you to open that gap up and the car will run alot smoother.

I'd recommend an M&W Pro 10 ignition box, contact Arturbo on here if you're interested in one.
