When to Upgrade Ignition ?
at what HP pt should you plan to upgrade your stock honda ignition.. ie, add a blaster/external coil.. and how hard is it to do?? i'm only askin cuz i've never done it yet..
thanks..
thanks..
well honda's come with excellent factory ingintion system.
Stock for stock, it should be able to handle about 350 to 400whp. BUT if I was making more than 300whp I would feel safer with MSD 6al and some sort of blaster coil.
if your planning on keeping the ignition simple and stock just make sure all parts are in prestine order such as a fresh cap & decent plugs, also check to make sure your OEM spark plug wires are not too old and crudy...
ingiton should be one of the last things you need to upgrade if your under 300whp.
