Which one do you guys use? I plan to use PUMP E85 but for the time that the gas stations are still 63-70% I was going to buy a drum of what the closest barrel would be to use/tune with so I don't have to keep buying drums of this stuff but not sure which one would be the most acurate towards the PUMP E85?

That **** isn't cheap. Not sure if you daily it or what.

For me I found a "good" e85 station and it usually test 75-80
However I find that even lower will not throw your a/f off to a point where if would cause major engine damage before you could adjust your fuel tables

Without an ethanol content sensor the tune will vary. You can buy a barrel of e98 and make your own mixture so it goes further. The E98 is 230 a barrel for 55 gallons. Shipping is what gets costly but the more you order the cheaper the shipping cost per barrel gets.

I run e98 in my car. It's track only but the ignite e98 performs extremely well.

I've used e85 since 2012 from 3 different stations around my house. I've never tested the ethanol level and always run in open loop. I've never noticed any notable afr difference from using fuel from different stations or from different times of the year. Not that someone wouldn't ever see a difference or change. I just personally haven't myself

I have about 30-35 gallons of Ignite e98 Yellow that I'm not going to use if you're interested. It's in a 55gal drum and is always sealed.

I'm heading up to Synapse the end of the week. just let me know if you're interested.

If it's not a daily then go for it, if the car is a daily then the cost of the fuel could be an issue, not to mention if you run e98 or "race gas" then there's no fill up options if you need to, unless you keep 5 gallons in a can in the car. at least with e85 you can fill up at a suitable station...

but if you use "pump" e85 then you really need a content analyzer sensor.

also I don't know what your power goals are but for most e85 gets the job done just fine. I've heard about people who run e98 long term having issues with rubber fuel lines and injector seals degrading along with slight top end wear since e98 doesn't lubricate as well given the low gasoline content and very little additives in the way of lubricants. of course you can add a bottle of top end lube to the tank with each e98 fill up to help prevent any engine wear.

just my .02, we don't have any e85 locally so my experience is limited, mostly the cars at the track that come fill up with Sunoco e85 at the track pumps just to run it for the day.

Does anyone know where I can pick up a couple drums of the Ignite E85 so I don't have to pay shipping costs? I don't mind driving a couple hours to do so

Order directly from ignite. I don't think anyone is a dealer and even if they were you would pay more than just buying it your self. If you order two or more barrels it's about 7 bucks a gallon

The Ignite Red - 114 octane stuff was worth 40whp at the same amount of boost over pump e85(tested out to 78%) on my 62mm car. Its good stuff for the money.

On the whole "E85 isn't 85% E" thing, is there a certain minimum that it's allowed to be? Is it just marketing hype? If there is a minimum, would it be theoretically possible to mix until you have that bare minimum, get tuned on that, then if the content happens to be higher, no harm no foul?

They say lowest is 70% content but it's been lower depending where you live
