If a have V-fac should I still chip Ecu
Heres what I have
t3/t4 57trim turbo kit with Vafc
stock p28(which is running my b16a2 now with out the kit on)
440 Rc injectors
AEM fuel rail
Apexi Ni 2.5 in catback
2.5 intercooling piping and 2.5 downpipe. what I want to know in is this all I need to go going and going safely. Or would it be advantagous to get a my stock p28 chipped by Xenocron.com. Would doing so make my car run any better and more reliable.

To chip it is not necessary. All it is going to do is add some timing and fuel into the ECU anyway, which is what your V-AFC is doing. You should invest in some additional management instead of worrying about purchasing chipped components that are matched.

I think by chipped ECU he means chipped so that he can run Crome or Uberdata. Either of those is going to be way better then an AFC hack. Fuel adjustments with a VAFC are limited and you cant adjust timing. With Crome or Uberdata he can change fuel anywhere in the RPM band, scale it to his injector size and even adjust timing.
1badek9,
A basic chip burner will cost you around $55-$85. A WB setup is $300-$320, just make sure you get an Innovative LM1 or PLX 300. The Zeitronix is not yet supported within Crome or Uberdata, and I dont think it ever will be. Now if you want realtime tuning then look into an Ostrich emulator, which is $175 from moates.net. Chipping an ECU costs $20+15 for labor and parts if you do it through moates.net. Add another $10-$50 if you want to datalog through your ECU and within Crome or Uberdata.
You check out http://www.pgmfi.org and get more info on how to chip ECU's and how to use Crome or Uberdata (I recommend Crome).

huh? if you chip your ecu... you need to get it tuned, they dont make a chip that fits every car.
you cant just tell someone your setup and expect to recieve a perfectly tuned and running chip in the mail
