idle problem after tonight

Default idle problem after tonight

aight well im coming back from the movies tonight and the grl i was with loves the sound of my bov, so i boosted here and there a couple times thus increasing my chances for something later in the night.....

anyway after the last time i hit boost my idle went all to ****. no matter what i do (clutch in, clutch out) the idle bounces from 1k to 3k none stop. driving is semi normal... whats could that idle mean?? thanks for all the input a heaf of time

yeah i found it today, it was a vac leak except not in a vac line... what it was, was the drain plug in my catch can fell out... cause i was like wtf is there oil around my catch can and then i saw a hole in it lol.. all fixed now!!

that shouldnt cause your idle to surge. how is your catchcan hooked up?

pcv to catch can, catch can to intake manifold

That is too emission friendly. Just vent it. Blowby vapors mess with the A/F and lower the effective octane of the fuel.

i tried doing that before, i did, pcv to catch can, catch can to pre turbo, and blocked off the IM and my car started acting crazy after that, idle dropped tremendously and it would stall if in high speed i drop it into neutral

you musta hooked something up wrong, doing it pcv-&gt;oil catchcan and intake blocked off should/could not cause those symptoms....

ninjaedit: you need to make sure the 2nd nipple on your catchcan is open, so if your can has 2 nipples:

nip1: to pcv
nip2: open w/breather filter
im: plugged
vc nip: open w/breather filter
