Default IC piping dilemma

the outlet of my turbo is 2''.
i bought the greddy type 24 IC and piping setup kit. Greddy told me that the pre-IC piping was 60mm, which is close to 2 3/8 '' i believe.

so i have to go from 2''--->2 3/8'' either right from the turbo, or right after the 90 degree bend from the turbo.

so here is my question....will it matter where i put this flare piece ?
i was thinking maybe if i go right to 2 3/8'' off the compressor outlet that it might have a similar effect as a large exhaust on a car and slow down the air or something..maybe effecting spooling. But i guess its gonna do that anyways like 12 inches later.... i dont know....i just wanted to see if somebody had any input.

or i
