I think I'm in limp mode!
CEL is on and @ 4200 rpm, the engine cuts out. I tried to pull the code with the paper clip, but the CEL stays solid. The ECU seams to be bzzzzzzzing when the engine is on.
Do I need to pull the battery cable before I can pull the CEL code?

yeah, how are you pulling it? when i get a CEL, i turn off the motor, jump the harness thing with a paperclip, and then turn the ignition to the II spot, i think it is. it's the one that turns on everything but the engine. the CEL will blink then if you really do have a code.
I've tried with the engine running and with the key on ign w/o engine running. The jumper is in the small blue connector out of the green rubber boot. NO Blink blink....the light stays solid.
I hope that helps out your limp problems.... gixxers always help me out
I had the same problem on my car a few months ago, i would drive it for a little while and the CEL would come on. When i shut the car down the CEL would go away and when i tried pulling the code the SRS light just flashed over and over and over and over times 100 more times again without throwing a code. When i installed my hondata it cured the problem though. Does the CEL light come on once you hit boost by any chance? It could be something to do with your map sensor... Try the batter trick listed above.

What were we talkin about...........Oh yeah......WOW she is SMOKIN!
I pulled the battery cable and tried again. No blink, blink. CEL is on at all times. I have Hondata.

The Hondata s100 is a small chip inside the ECU. I guess I can pull the ECU and make sure all is good. When the car goes in "limp mode" the ECU retards the timing, loads it up with fuel, and the new rev limit is 4200rpm, so the car barely runs enough for you to limp home or to the dealer (no way!) for repairs.
have you checked all of your hondata connections?
And she really is SMOKIN HOT! Thanks for the help!! And thanks for dressin' up the thread!
